Be a Pink Sheep
Stand Out | Get Noticed
"Just be yourself" is the laziest answer to the hardest problem in marketing.
Your messaging isn’t working because you’ve spent years performing a version of yourself that’s not actually you. And by you, I mean the one who shows up around your best friend on Thursday night while you drink wine and eat pizza. The voice you’ve been marketing from is the composite of every polite, professional, and socially palatable version of yourself you built to sound credible. The marketers who have figured this out aren’t more talented than you. They’re not more confident, more creative, or more naturally magnetic. They just figured out how to stop hiding beneath the performative version of themselves.
You have a problem. But it's not you.
Right now, you’re living in the gap between what you think you’re saying and what your audience hears.
You can confidently talk about your value in a conversation, but the moment you sit down to write, that’s a completely different story.
You have a foundation problem.
The DIBS Method lifts you out of the gap and closes it. I don’t just give you better words, I help you excavate your voice and identity, then build your message from there.
Words are the wrong place to start a messaging strategy
That’s an odd thing for a messaging strategist and copywriter to say, I know.
But before we can write words, we have to build you something sturdy to stand on.
And the DIBS Method is how we do it.
Four Steps. One Purposeful System.
D — Discovery
The industry has diagnosed you with weak messaging, then sold you the wrong cure.
The fix they’re selling you is their framework. Their voice. Their structure. Their definition of “clear messaging” is really just what worked for them, with your name swapped in. And you’ve probably already tried it. Maybe more than once. Which is how you ended up here.
Your messaging isn’t weak. It’s just not yours.
Discovery cuts through the version of you that was built for everyone else’s comfort. The one that doesn’t start sentences with “what I want to say is” and just says it.
The end result? Less convincing. More shut up and take my money.
I — Identity
Discovery uncovered your voice. Identity is where you learn how to use it.
This is where your true brand voice emerges. The words that describe what you do in a way that finally matches your expertise, so you stop hesitating every time you read them out loud.
You’ve been struggling to find the right words to talk about what you do. Identity looks at why and gives you how to say it instead.
B — Broadcast
Using someone else’s content strategy framework before finding your brand voice is just pouring more of your composite voice into someone else’s bucket.
No wonder it’s not working.
This is your blueprint built from everything Discovery and Identity uncovered.
We look at what you’re already doing and whether it’s working for or against you. If you’re focusing your energy on the wrong things, I help you fix it so you stop wasting time and energy in the wrong places.
Broadcast ends the “I don’t know what to post” spiral.
S — Scaffold
The industry loves to sell you their frameworks, courses, and templates, then say “Good luck, babe!” and send you on your way with a pat on the ass. Or worse, keep you dependent on their help forever by selling you the next step in the funnel.
Not me.
Scaffold is about supporting you toward confident independence.
Once you’ve done the thinking work, it’s time for the manual labor. Showing up and putting it all into motion.
Don’t let your content strategy die in a Google Drive.
This is the ongoing partnership that keeps the momentum alive while you find your footing. Scaffold was never meant to be permanent, just present enough so you don’t feel alone, and hands-off enough to learn to do it yourself.
Go Your Own Way — you write and execute. I stay close enough to tell you when something’s drifting and why.
I Wanna Dance With Somebody — I write. You approve it and put it into the world.
Get Outta My Dreams (Get Into My Car) — I write and execute. You approve and focus on your business.
Scaffold is only available to clients who have completed Discovery, Identity, and Broadcast. I don’t usually gatekeep, but this is the exception—because if I let you skip to the front of the line, I’m no better than the people selling you something that doesn’t fully work.
I have too much self-respect for that.
Here's What Happens When You Show Up As You.
Someone asks what you do, and the answer just comes without the silent cringe at your own words.
You stop bracing for the conversation and start having it.
Your marketing and your work finally match. The right clients find you because they recognize who you are without mistaking you for someone else.
The DIBS Method doesn’t promise you authenticity and then leaves you to figure out what that means. We excavate and build from it.
It’s time you claimed your space.
NEW METHOD, WHO DIS?
The DIBS Method is new. I am not.
I’ve been doing this work for years. I’ve been excavating brand voice, fixing foundational problems, and writing copy that sounds like the person it’s supposed to be. What I’m building now is the documented proof. The receipts.
Which means you get the full methodology, experience, and results at a price that reflects where I am in building this specific offer, not in my career.
I’m only taking a handful of founders at these prices (no fake countdown timer needed). This window closes when the roster fills.

FAQs
I just need someone to write my emails. Do I really need DIBS for that?
Maybe not. If your marketing has produced campaigns that converted, clients that found you through your content, and a pipeline that fills consistently, then your foundation is probably solid, and Just The Words exists for exactly that. But if you’ve hired copywriters before and the copy was competent, but nothing changed, the problem wasn’t the copywriter. It was the brand guide they were working with that was the problem. DIBS fixes that.
This sounds like a lot of work. I'm already overwhelmed.
It is work. But it’s the kind that stops you from continuing to do the wrong things. Most of the overwhelm you’re feeling right now comes from executing tactics that were never built around someone else’s blueprint. DIBS clears your plate by giving you a foundation that makes every decision easier, not harder.
I've done brand strategy work before. How is this different?
You haven’t. At least not this deep. Most brand strategy work builds around a framework and fits you into it. DIBS starts with a psychological excavation of who you are and who your ICP is at a level most brand work never reaches. There’s no fill-in-the-blank template or follow-my-steps framework. Just uncovering who you are, so your marketing reflects you, your ideas, and your expertise, not someone else’s.
How do I know this is worth the investment?
You don’t. Not yet anyway. I’m not one of those people who are going to tell you to stop eating avocado toast to afford this. What I will tell you is that the longer you keep trying to execute tactics without knowing how to reach the part of your ideal client that gets her to trust you, the longer you’ll continue to light your money on fire. DIBS is an investment. But it’s one that finally addresses the actual problem instead of adding another tactic to the pile.
